Last post we talked about our un-dying love for chocolate.
But we admit it. We’re two-timers.
There is another love in our lives, and its name is hummus.
So we’ve gone on and on about our love for chocolate on several different occasions, but don’t let that fool you. Even though we’ve only hinted at our love for hummus a handful of times (like here and here), our love for hummus is equally as strong!

We gave you a recipe for our classic, go-to roasted red pepper hummus, and now we’re finally bringing you another version of [one of] our all-time favourite foods.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, let us take this opportunity to introduce you to the newest love in our lives:
Artichoke and Garlic Hummus
Seriously, people, the first time we made this we ate all but about 2 tablespoons of it in one sitting. As a matter-of-fact, we’d say that we love this version just as much as our original stand-by
So as you can imagine, we have quite the predicament on our hands. You see, we want to be one-love kind of girls, but how can a girl decide between thick, creamy, zesty hummus and smooth, rich, melt-in-you-mouth chocolate?
The decision is too tough. We envision a compromise one day down the road… chocolate hummus, anyone?

Artichoke and Garlic Hummus
Total Time: 10 min
Makes: ~2.5 cups
Ingredients:
2 c. chickpeas, rinsed (or one can!)
1/4 c. olive oil
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/4 c. tahini
7-8 artichoke hearts
1 Tbsp caper juice
2-3 Tbsp capers
2 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
pepper, to taste
Directions:
Put all ingredients in the food processor and blend for 5-10 minutes, until smooth. The longer you blend it for, the creamier it’ll be!
