Mmmm Sauce!

We love sauces!

And dips.

And spreads.

And dressings.

Pretty much anything you can scoop up with a spoon, smear all over or blob on top of something. Items such as our Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, Maple Pumpkin Pie Almond Butter, Lemon Tahini Dressing, or our Coconut Lime Yogurt Spread, We always lick our plates clean (or, if in a public situation, do the “bread swipe”).

Because seriously, what dish isn’t made better by a little sauce? Something that ties everything together, while still allowing individual ingredients to shine, and takes a plate from simply food to a piece of artwork.

As I’m sure you’ve already guessed, today’s post is about a sauce. /dip/spread. 🙂

Garlic Scape and Basil White Bean Spread. It has the flavours of pesto, and contains a good dose of protein, fiber, and healthy fats!

We ate ours as a spread for a veggie sandwich…

Bean spread+ peppers, cucumber, tomato, and mushrooms.

… and a sauce!

Shaved zucchini “noodles” and chopped tomatoes.

So delicious and so versatile, with a few unexpected ingredients.

Mmmmm saucy! 🙂
